You do not need to learn the martial applications to gain the full benefits of Tai Chi. However, learning what there original purpose will help bring clarity and intent to your movements.

All of our classes are one hour long. They always include a full body warm up, incorporating; mobility, flexibility, strength, breathing and qi gong exercises.
You will then practice the Tai Chi form, either as a group or work individually before finishing the class with relaxing mediation.

Everyone’s Tai Chi goals are different, but we would recommend training your Tai Chi practice consistently to see the full benefits.
How consistent you are will depend on what you want to get out of your Tai Chi practice. But to get the full benefits we wold recommend practicing Tai Chi at least once a week.

Our unique style of Tai Chi is called ‘Suang Yang’ (twin suns). It is a form of Tai Chi originating from the Fujian province of China and has its roots based in the White Crane system which originates from the same province in China.
Our style of Tai Chi perfectly blends slow, flowing, rooted movements of traditional tai chi with the light springy movements of the White Crane system.

Our full Tai Chi form is 66 moves long. How long it takes to learn the full form depends on how consistently you practice and how quickly you can pick up new moves.
Tai Chi can be a lifelong practice if you want it to be. Once you learn the full Tai Chi form you can spend the rest of your life honing and perfecting Tai Chi.

You will start to see some of the benefits of Tai Chi very early in your training journey. As you progress through the pattern you will start to gain the full benefits of Tai Chi as the pattern challenges you both mentally and physically, you will start to see improvements in strength, mobility and mental relaxation.
